Figure skater's fashion: the good and the questionable

With Mercedes Benz Fashion Week coinciding the Olympics Games i can't help but pay attention to figure skater's costume. In Vancouver ice skating pairs vowed their fans with some interesting and some questionable costume choices.
Russian figure skaters and Alexander Smirnov had cleverly hidden swans on their costumes making them a perfect graphic black and white swan pair. (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao, representing Chinese team wore black, grey and fuchsia colors costumes. They both gave us borderline full-frontal in your face action if not for Xue's strategically placed cut outs and Hongbo's dip dyed plunging neckline and gold chain. (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
Canadians Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison looked comfortable in their elegant and somewhat boring star shooting celestial inspired black and white costumes. (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
The black and white costume theme continued with the Sad Clown look by Germans, Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy. Somehow, when i look at them i don't get sad...quite the opposite:) (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
How many Bedazzlers were used to create this Firebird look for the American pair, Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett? Did all that twirling set her costume on fire? (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)

"Preppy on Ice"was presented by Maria Sergejeva and Ilja Glebov of Estonia. If they wore matching visors the look would be complete. (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
Tatiana Volosozhar and Stanislav Morozov of Urkraine were blinding their fans with these futuristic and shiny, head to toe matching blue with silver stripe unitards. (picture courtesy of nbcolympics.com)
